What is Plastic?
Plastic is made from organic products such as cellulose, coal, natural gas, salt, and crude oil.
So does that make it a natural product? No.
It is a man made product that is highly processed and refined into the materials we use every day.
Are they harmful? Yes.
They can contain harmful chemicals that are toxic and can pollute the environment.

Why do we use Plastic?
Not only are plastics flexible, malleable, and durable, but they are also cheap and easily produced making them a preferred material for companies to work with. Even to us (the consumers), plastics are easy to use especially when it comes to those single use items, they are cheaper, easily accessible, and very convenient.

As a result, society has become highly dependant on this material, and now, it has just become a part of our daily lives.
